Walk-a-thon
The Walk for Wantagh Students Walk-a-thon is set for Saturday July 12th 8am to 4pm. The walkers will start at Cedar Creek Park and follow the bike path down to the Jones Beach Restaurant (planned site of the New Trump on the Ocean) and then back to Cedar Creek. We are asking anyone who can possibly participate in this event to please do so. The Wantagh Students need us to come together and raise funds to help pay for the Sports, Clubs and Extracurricular Activities which where cut in the contingency budget. Please review the information below and help make this a successful fundraiser for the Wantagh Students.
- Please Print Sponsor Form
- Please ask everyone you know to walk and get sponsors.
- Send a car ahead for the ride back if you don’t plan on walking both ways.
- Invisible walkers welcome (if you are not available to be here on the 12th or unable to walk please encourage your children to get sponsors anyway or send in a donation to the PO Box 7095 Wantagh NY 11793).
- Corporations Please Match what the Students can raise.
- Please bring water for your family, it is July. We are trying to get water donated but are unsure if there will be enough water at this event.
- Make all Checks payable to Wantagh SOS
- Bring Sponsor Forms with you the morning of the walk. There will be tables set up near the entrance to the bike path with volunteers to collect forms and all donations. Please send your forms and checks to PO Box 7095, Wantagh, NY 11793 if you can not make the walk.
- On top of each sheet, the walker should indicate their school, grade and any school clubs and sports they are involved in. Non students should list their children's grades, school clubs and sports.
- Please Park in Field 9 and on the Soccer Field ONLY! The other parking fields are reserved for other events that day. Follow the Walk-a-thon Signs
