KID CORNER
We wanted to thank some children involved and how they raised some monies;
- Kara Langdon, Alyssa Giannetti, Amanda Pacchiana, Bridget Connelly held three Lemon Aide stands to raise money for the SOS. They raised a ziplock full of cash!
- Megan and Kristen Callahan have sold T shirts at numerous car washes, the SOS Flea Market, and this past Saturday at the Soccer Festival and they have helped raise over $1500 for the fund, with even more to follow.
- On July 19th, Connor L'Eplattenier, Kyle Hughes, Andrew Russo, Maggie L'Eplattenier, Andrew Hughes, Daniel Russo, William DiMatteo, Ryan L'Eplattenier, Joe DiMatteo, Christian Young and Keira Young held an ICEE , Iced Tea and Lemonade stand. They made up great signs and had alot of fun. They worked hard and raised $60.00. Picture
- Jaclyn Onufrey, Julia Fazio, Julia Vitucci and Jenna Fazio sold raffle tickets and made $188 for Wantagh SOS on August 2nd, at the Woodbine Avenue block party. Picture
- Max, Joseph, and Sam Moritz and Nicholas, Justin and Emma Vines had an ice tea, lemonade and cookie stand and made $80.26.
- Samantha Balzano and Taylor Giardina made 57.40 for SOS at the flea market on bracelets they made and sold
- The Wantagh WaveRunners, a 12U Wantagh Girls Tournament Softball team, came directly from their game on Sunday to participate in the carwash - see pix in the Gallery
- J.T. McCarron, Nick Winkler, Michaela Hagan, Julia Winkler, Shannon Hagan and Kelsea Hagan collected deposit cans and bottles from their neighbors, cashed in the bottles, and donated the proceeds of $125.00 to Wantagh SOS during the week of July 4th. Thanks to all our neighbors on Edgerton Avenue and surrounding area who donated!
- Shannon Hagan, JT McCarron, Michaela Hagan, Alexa Cardone, and Kelsea Hagan had an Iced Tea Sale on Edgerton Avenue to raise money for Wantagh SOS. They raised $62.
- Meaghan, Devin and Jack Kennedy had their own fundraising event by selling candy both at Nickerson Beach and in the neighborhood. With the help of Jenna and James Errante, Nicholas Coppola, and Brittany, Kayla and Billy Bonasera, they raised $160. It was great to see all of these kids excited at the opportunity to make a difference and to be part of this whole fundraising project!
- Anthony and Jonathan Cangelosi had a lemonade and cupcake stand today July 11 and made $40 dollars towards the fundraising goal. It makes me feel good to see that my children want to do their share.
- Brenna Connolly and a few of her friends collected around
$100 at a lemonade stand to support Wantagh S.O.S

- Michael Korwan, Keri Korwan, Tara Korwan, Thomas Korwan, Tiffany Sorice, Michelle Urso, Nicole Urso, and Matthew Urso raised $150.00 with a lemonade stand this weekend.
- Kaitlyn Mooney collected $25.00 from friends and relatives at her birthday party on Saturday.
- Nicki, Dani and Alyssa Sinacori raised $50.00 over the weekend at a lemonade stand.
- Tatiana Cruz, Tristan Cruz, Nicole Palas, Joshua Palas, Emily Boyle, Diana Defazio, Alyssa Weldon, Nicole Diorio
Silvy Saltzman, Paige Burr, Cassidy Lang, Paulina Renda raised $380 over the past 2 days selling flags for the 4th of July.
- $335 was raised this weekend from what started as an icetea stand, then quickly expanded to lemonade, cookies, brownies and eventually hot dogs too! Snack Stand staff included: Haley Browne, Elena Igoe, Chris Zozzaro, Victoria Zozzaro, Greg Krassner, Gene Gaffney, Alexandra Burruno, Victoria Burruno, Nick Burruno, Taylor Sanchez, Jackie Sgambati. Thanks to all that helped out with their generous donations, as well as the many menu donations!
- Peter Mountanos, Brendan Berman, Katina Mountanos, Chirs Mountanos, Nikki Mountanos and Annie Vines sat outside 7-11 from 9-3:30am and raised about $1,000.00 from the "W"'s we sold. Warner has dedicated a wall to Wantagh and each family. We will do it again on July 11th.
